Question sentences are an important part of Chinese language teaching.Specific interrogative sentences are an important component of interrogative sentences, which are a major difficulty for low level learners who are new to Chinese.Textbooks are an important reference for teachers in teaching.Exploring the arrangement of specific interrogative sentences in textbooks can help textbook users better understand and use textbooks."Happy Companion" is a Chinese language textbook currently used in public elementary schools in Singapore, and is a Chinese language textbook approved by the Ministry of Education of Singapore. It is widely used by the Chinese language teaching community in Southeast Asia.In the first four volumes of this textbook, there are a large number of interrogative sentences, among which specific interrogative sentences with obvious characteristics are widely distributed in the textbook. This article analyzes the specific questions in the first four volumes of the textbook, studies the inherent rules of the arrangement of specific questions in the textbook, and puts forward relevant suggestions.Firstly, this article makes a statistical analysis of the types of specific questions in the first four volumes of the textbook, and finds that there are four major categories and nine minor categories of specific questions,as well as a special type of "omitted questions.".Then,this article explores the specific questions in this textbook from the perspective of the "small triangle" theory. From the perspective of linguistic form, the structures of various specific interrogative sentences are basically obtained by means of addition and expansion based on the three basic structures of "subject predicate object","subject predicate object",and "active object".Moreover, the components of interrogative pronouns are not exhaustive, and they are consistent with their positions in the sentence. From the perspective of linguistic meaning,in the first four volumes of textbooks,in addition to the examples of non interrogative functions provided by individual specific interrogative sentences, the vast majority of specific interrogative sentences only provide interrogative functions, and their interrogative objects are related to their own distance and proximity, and the difficulty increases with age and learning level. From the perspective of pragmatic value, the specific questions provided in the first four volumes of this textbook take into account attention, subjectivity, politeness, and colloquialism. Finally, from the perspective of "children’s language acquisition" theory, this article conducts a study of the arrangement methods of specific interrogative sentences in this textbook. The author analyzes all the acquisition methods used in the first four volumes of this textbook with examples, and analyzes their significance and value. Finally, the author evaluates the arrangement rules of specific interrogative sentences in the first four volumes of the textbook, points out their irrationality through theoretical analysis, and puts forward some targeted suggestions for the arrangement.
