| The parent-child perception difference in parents’ pubbing behavior refers to the parent-child perception difference between parents and children for parents’ behavior of paying too much attention to and frequently using mobile phones when communicating with their children.Parental pubbing behavior is an important predictor of smartphone dependence in junior high school students, but previous studies have been based on children’s perspectives.Based on the "divergence-discomfort" hypothesis, differences in perception of family factors can lead to poor developmental outcomes in children. This study explores whether the difference in parent-child perception of parents’ pubbing behavior that is currently visible at any time in the family environment will have an impact on the smartphone dependence of junior high school students. And based on this,a group counselling intervention study was conducted to improve the quality of parent-child relationship and reduce the level of smartphone dependency of junior high school students. The study consists of two parts. In study 1,we used a questionnaire to interview secondary school students and their parents in Wuhan.,a total of 728 families,to explore the impact of parent-child perception differences in parents’ pubbing behavior on junior high school students’ smartphone dependence and the impact of parent-child relationship. In study two,16 participants were screened from study 1,divided into experimental group and control group for study,in which the experimental group underwent six parent-child relationship group counseling interventions, and the control group was taught according to the normal teaching week.Pre-and post-test data were collected and analysed for the paternity questionnaires for the experimental and control groups,as well as for the smartphone-dependent questionnaire. The conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)The parent-child perception difference in parents’ pubbing behavior was significantly different, positively predicting smartphone dependence in junior high school students and negatively predicting parent-child relationship;Parent-child relationship significantly negatively predicted smartphone dependence in junior high school students.(2)The parent-child relationship plays a partial mediating role between the parentchild perception difference of parents’ pubbing behavior and the smartphone dependence of junior high school students.(3)Parent-child relationship group counseling can improve the parent-child relationship of junior high school students, thereby reducing the level of smartphone dependence of junior high school students. |
