| Dunhuang Studies is a worldwide study, and the research scope of Dunhuang Studies includes everything related to the Dunhuang Grottoes.Among them, the study of Dunhuang music and dance has always been a very important research direction in Dunhuang studies, and the research on Dunhuang music and dance in the field of musicology mainly focuses on the music part of Dunhuang music and dance. Therefore, combining Dunhuang studies and musicology, the current research on Dunhuang music and dance is mainly divided into three directions:1.Conduct research from the aspects of music archaeology and music iconography, and study and classify the band organization, instrument types, music and dance types, and performance forms of Dunhuang music and dance;2.The music and dance of Dunhuang murals are used as clues to study the history, culture and aesthetic characteristics behind it;3.To study the music content of Dunhuang music and dance from the specific caves. However, there are few papers discussing the sound structure, music aesthetics and acoustic space of Dunhuang music and dance music as the main research objects. The soundscape theory was first proposed and advocated by the famous Canadian composer and environmentalist R.Murray Schafer in 1968.With the continuous development of soundscape theory research,it has also been widely used in the field of music research. In China, the application of soundscape theory is more focused on the study of traditional Chinese music, taking specific music as an example to study the acoustic structure and aesthetic characteristics of traditional Chinese music in the social background at that time. Therefore,to study Dunhuang music and dance performances in the context of the historical soundscape is to make some supplements to the study of Dunhuang music and dance from the aspect of sound research.Based on this, this paper takes Dunhuang music and dance as the research object, and the soundscape theory as the starting point, analyzes the sound structure, music aesthetics, acoustic characteristics of Dunhuang music and dance music and the performance space of Dunhuang music and dance. This paper uses multi-modal music historical materials, namely Dunhuang music and dance murals,Dunhuang music and dance research documents, music works based on the restoration of Dunhuang murals and interviews with scholars on Dunhuang music and dance research, and then combines the theory of soundscape to complete the analysis of Dunhuang music and dance sound.Soundscape imagination and construction. |
