Application of diffractive optics technology in ICF diver, takes great advantages, such as improving the quality of laser beam, optimizing the layout of ICF driver, and reducing the cost of the whole system. Motivated by the establishment of prototype of SG-III laser facility, three important DOE, CSG, BSG, and PCP, were studied elementarily, which will satisfy the instant requirement for DOE in ICF diver.As the key element performing harmonic separation in the Final Optical Assembly, CSG was studied theoretically and experimentally. Based on the analysis of fabrication process, CSG's tolerance to fabrication error and wavefront aberration was indicated which can be helpful for improvement of the fabrication technology. With the theoretical direction, a sample of CSG, whose diameter is 100mm, was designed and fabricated for the first time in our nation. And the corresponding experimental research was carried out on XingGuang-II, a solid state high power laser facility.Based on the scalar diffractive theory, the design principle of BSG was studied systematically. Two different fabrication methods, the way of e-beam direct writing and the way of holographic exposure, were compared theoretically and experimentally. In addition, a novel method was presented and studied to fabricate the integrated diffractive element of BSG and CSG with the gray-tone coding mask. With this method, the multifunction DOE can be achieved through only one-step lithography, which greatly simples the fabrication process and reduces the cost.Finally, In order to simplify the layout of the Multilayer Amplifier Assembly and improve the quality of laser beam, another DOE, Phase Corrector Plate (PCP), was presented to used in the ICF diver as a beam controller. Its design, fabrication and application were discussed in detail, and some of important results were achieved in this paper.
