For several years the author has been engaged in the work of research to the Near-Infrared spectroscopy and instrumentation directed by my respected tutor Academician Chen Xingdan who has majored in this field for twenty years or so. Due to the fact that the spectrometers which don't operate in the consistently scan mode such as fix-filter spectrometer, diode arrays spectrometer , LD arrays spectrometer and so on are still very popular and the primary products in the commercial market at present, in this paper deeper and extensive research and discussion is made to the primary problems that confusing current NIR application . Better solves including the sample and wavelength optimization algorithm to these problems are presented and verified by serious experiments, satisfied results are produced. The algorithm of optimization for calibration and prediction samples simplifies the problem of choosing effective samples from the exhaust sample set, the efficiency of calibration and debugging the NIR instrumentation is greatly improved correspondingly. The combination-making algorithm in combinatorics is firstly introduced in the Near-Infrared spectroscopy so that the optimization of wavelengths can be proceeded automatically by computer programming conveniently. Due to the fact that the criterion of judging the robustness of calibration model is based on the root mean standard error of prediction, the calibration model obtained can be robust in the long run and better accuracy of prediction can be obtained, as a result, this idea is a greater improvement to the method of calibration. In order to broaden the applicable field of Near-Infrared spectroscopy the another point that my paper pay attention to is to bring NIR technology to quantitative analysis to the ingredients of Chinese Ginseng. Spectral and calibration analysis is made to investigate the correlation between the spectral and chemical information, it serves as a theoretical guide to the manufacture of special NIR instrumentation to Chinese Ginseng ingredients.
