This paper mainly consists of three parts. Firstly, the basic principle of the wavelet theory is analyzed, discussed and summarized in detail. The second part shows GPS observational equation, the corresponding error sources, the characteristics of errors and the essential methods for error processing. Finally, the quality control in GPS data processing based on the wavelet analysis is given. The idiographic contents and innovations are shown as follows:The historical and present status and the development of GPS technique are summarized. The concepts and the problems of GPS static and kinematic precise measurement are introduced. The progress in the fundamental researches and applications of wavelet analysis is elaborated. The present research situation and the prospective development of the GPS data processing are given. It is indicated that there exist some problems in GPS data processing and applications. The study contents of this paper are shown. The basic theory of the wavelet theory is summarized in detail. An a'trous algorithm based on the second generation of wavelet is concluded, and then the procedures of the algorithm and the pseudocode are made. The characteristics of several kinds of common wavelet functions are introduced. The lifting wavelet is discussed and inferred, and its complexity is proven to be half of the first generation of wavelet. The second generation of wavelet has the following virtues of simple realization, convenient operation and taking few system resources. The observational equation and the corresponding erroneous sources for GPS data are introduced, and the characteristics of errors and the basic methods for error processing are discussed. The random models of double-differenced observational equation are studied. The random noise value and its characteristics for GPS measurement are reflected by the a priori variance-covariance matrix of measurement. A method of MINQUE to estimate the variance - covariance matrix for the static GPS survey is concluded. Then a scheme of simplified MINQUE is put forward so that the method is more convenient and simple to use in conditions of shorter baseline and smaller system error. The practical cases indicate the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the validity of...
