The Research On Mongolian Traditional Eco-culture Based On Zoological Traceability

This dissertation focus in the research of Mongolian traditional culture, based on the biological principles of organism corresponding to its environment, and function corresponding to its structure, choose the main line of vegetation-animal (domestic and wild ones)-people as the research route, and combine zoology with folklore study, and to review a large number of historical materials and documents, analyze animals as the kernel in Mongolian husbandry to find their spirit content derived from the biological, and determine the position and function of the animal in grassland and social systems. All of these studies try to reveal the traditional conception system of Mongolian community that contains animal diversity is in harmony with the cultural diversity.As an initial attempt in combination of biology and folklore, this research mainly cover the traditional Mongolian nomadic lifestyle, and the expression of the traditional ecological culture in of the material, spiritual and system-level dimensions, and further cast back to zoological origin. Moreover, this work expands the research scope to conserve and then pass the Mongolian outstanding eco-culture In accordance with zoological approach. The dissertation is sorted into 6 chapters and with main contents as follows.Chapter 1, Systematically recalled the research progress of the Mongolian traditional culture and eco-cultural and summed up the research results of previous studies. On this basis, presented a view that the research of Mongolian eco-cultural was still lack of the biological level especially the way from studied of zoology, Furtherly, retrospective the origination, development and succession of traditional Mongolian culture from the zoological view was a way that combined the natural sciences with the social sciences , which was favored of an objective analysis of the internal factors of the existence and development of grassland culture of the Mongolian Plateau , and made up for the ecological and cultural limitations of subjects.Chapter 2, Geographical profile of the Mongolian plateau. Set out and analyzed the terrain topography, soil, climate, hydrology and vegetation resources and wildlife resources of the Mongolian Plateau. On the basis of that the spatial scale of this study were defined, and the geographical and biogeography stage were determined of the original and development of the traditional Mongolian culture. At the same time, Timely range were defined of this research that from the come into being of the Mongolian ancient nomadic economy to the end of the Qing Dynasty.Chapter 3, Zoology basis of the Mongolian plateau nomadic tribes' material culture. Firstly, the inevitability of Mongolian nomadic ancestors put forward a choice of the nomadic as the production were analyzed from the geographical and zoological view. Second, the characteristics of Mongolian nomadic production way and the economy were analyzed from the zoological way. In addition, the relationship of the Mongolian nomadic economic and the important fauna in grassland were summarized. Through the above analysis, the internal relations of Mongolian material culture and the zoology were interpreted.Chapter4, Zoology source of Mongolian traditional ecology and culture. By the Mongolian traditional cultural practices and content analysis, the zoological origin of Mongolian eco-culture and customs were researched from the spirit level, and enlightenment to the today's society from the excavation of this kind of cultural were discussed..Chapter 5 , Origin and heritage of the Mongolian traditional ecological concept. Through the analyzed of the original Mongolian plain ecological view and the customary law and the formal law related with the ecological protection, interpreted the relation of traditional Mongolian culture and its eco-system level with the animal factor.Chapter 6, Heritage and enlightenment of the Mongolian plain ecological view. The tradition and modernity of Mongolian material culture and spiritual cultural were compared, on this base, the complementary link countermeasures of agriculture and animal husbandry, animal husbandry and industries were proposed , with a view to resolving the current ecological crisis in grassland.
