ANSmCTIn thes thesis, two kinds including fifteen novel POlydentae pendan-armedcalix[4]aren derivatives were synthesind. Among the derivatives synthsind fivesingle crystals were obtalned. ComPOunds 6, 9 and ll exhibit high selective extractibility for K+, theorder of the selectivity is K+>Na+>Cs+>Li+. ComPOUnds 6 and 1l give the highestextractibility for K+, the percentages of etation are 80.9% and 69.8% in theCendn condition, respectively. The IH Nam SpeCtra indicated that the phenoloxygen atoms and carbonyl oxygen atoms paticiPae in the coordination for K+ incompound 6 and l1. PVC membrane iOnselective electrod PrePared by usingcompound 6 or 1l as the cAner, dioctyl sebacate as the plasticizer and KTPClPBas the ionic site, ndbit high Nerstian reSPOnse charaCtbocs for K+. The resuItS indicated tha the comPOunds lSl7tw ammatic tw grOuP have the most remahale effec on the sensihZingluminscence of Tb,+ and Eus+ (exCePt compound l7 for Eu3b aInon the tencoHunds. Compounds 7 and 8 with hydrDxyI gIDuP hav lesser effeCt on thesensitizin luminscence of Tb3+. The tetrasubnituted compoUnds 6, 9 and 12-14W no eviden effeCt on the sensitizin ltnnineSCene of Th3+. The tenzen ringSin bons and PeN anns can N the M of ultraviolet and effeCtivelywt it to rare eed catons. The efficiency of sensittalng luInineScence isrelated to the steric hintwe of the ligands and the stability of the comPlexes.
