Based on simulative experiments, this paper considers the operation of bioreactor landfill and the treatment technology of leachate. Through these experiments, those operation modes as leachate recirculation , pH adjusting while recirculation , temperature enhancing before recirculation , inoculating microorganism by mixing sludge with waste before landfill were investigated and their influences on bioreactor landfill has been studied , furthermore a dynamic model of organic matter degradation in bioreactor landfill was developed . The liner of bioreactor landfill was thus designed after related parameters were fixed by simulative soil column experiments.According to the study of simulative bioreactor landfill experiments , these advantages such as accelerating the descending pace of organic pollutants?NO3~,SC>42~ and heavy metal in leachate, quickening the stabilization process of filled wastes , enhancing the production of methane , reducing the quantity of discharged and disposed leachate have been verified . According to the characteristics of bioreactor landfill, those materials with a moderate permeability such as sandy soil, rather than clay, can be used as proper daily cover in bioreactor landfill. Based on the balance principle of organic matter in bioreactor landfill leachate, a dynamic model of organic matter degradation in bioreactor landfill with the influence of temperature and pH was developed. By means of the dynamic model, the policy to accelerate the stabilization process of bioreactor landfill was put forward, it requires to enhance the temperature to landfill, to adjust the landfill to a moderate pH, to heat the leachate before recirculation, to inoculate microorganism by mixing sludge with waste before landfill, to lower the leachate recirculation rate at the start-up of bioreactor landfill, and to increase the rate while the landfill begin to produce methane steady.According to the simulative soil column experiment, a bioreactor landfill liner has been designed with comprehensively consideration of the capacity of landfill surroundings to assimilate pollutants and the capacity of clay liner to attenuate organic pollutant COD and inorganic pollutant Cl*.
