Based on analyzing the cases of heavy accidents and studying the successful examples in control heavy accidents, the dissertation points out mistakes in studying heavy accidents and management methods. Especially, the common nature of stratum movement and under ground pressure influence is not grasped and the information base is not built, therefore the blindness exists. The dissertation suggests that the research key in accident control theory and practice should be put on: (1) grasping the characteristics of stratum movement and bearing pressure under different mining conditions, and its change law with working face advanced in order to reveal deeply the relationship between time and space condition when the heavy accidents happen; (2) seeking unity theoretic system of making strategic decision to control various heavy accidents according to key conditions of stratum movement and stress; (3)adopting advanced information technology to realize the unity of strategic theory and methods in order to change experience model into the stage of information and automation.The dissertation reveals deeply the relationship between the accidents of roof, gas, pressure bump and water-inrush and the conditions of stratum movement and stress distribution, and puts forward the framework of visual strategic system to predicate and control the accidents according to stratum movement and strain conditions.
