In the experiment, organic chemicals sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate(SDBS) and benzo[a]pyrene(B[a]P) were selected according to investigated pollutant data of typical Jiaozhou bay, and Lateolabrax japonicus was chosen as experimental organism. Parameters selected in the study including: liver antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), reduced glutathione (GSH) and glutathione S-transferase (GST) were determined, brain acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and liver inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) activities were also measured; immunological indexes: liver body weight ratio, spleen body weight ratio, blood cellularity, spleen cellularity, pronephros cellularity; heat shocking protein 70(HSP70); population genetic structure parameters: polymorphic fragment ratio (P), average heterozygosity of population (H), genetic diversity in population (H0), genetic similarity index (I) and genetic distance (D).. Results described as follows: Fish Lateolabrax japonicus avoided oxidative damage through antioxidant systems; SOD, GPx, GSH were induced, and GST was first inhibited and then induced by B[a]P exposure; CAT, GPx, AChE were induced, while iNOS was inhibited, and GST was first induced and then inhibited by SDBS stress in experimental period; SDBS and SDS not only can caused oxidative stress, but also resulted in the alterations of enzyme activity through the binding to enzyme. The expression of HSP70 was measured using flow cytometry when fish Lateolabrax japonicus were exposed to SDBS and B[a]P. Results of this study indicated that the expression of HSP70 was first high and then low under B[a]P exposure, while SDBS caused a always higher HSP70 level; and there might be some relationship lies between HSP70 expression and antioxidant enzyme activities. There were apparent changes took place of liver body weight ratio, spleen body weight ratio, spleen cellularity, pronephros cellularity under the two chemical exposure, they can used with other biomarkers to monitor aquatic quality. Thirteen random primers were used for amplification of DNA extracted from fish muscle tissue was amplified by. Parameters of population genetic structure were analyzed based on RAPD fingerprint, these parameters including: polymorphic fragment ratio (P), average heterozygosity of population (H), genetic diversity in population (H0), genetic similarity index (I) and genetic distance (D). Results indicated that there were no significant differences between control and treatment groups, but there were apparent changes of these parameters at 2d, this may be attributed to a great amount of DNA adducts formed in fish body, which result in DNA damage and RAPD fingerprint changed also. These parameters restored to control level at 6d, this can be explained that DNA damage was repaired by fish repair system.
