Based on the theory and methods of geology, rock mass mechanics, mining subsidence and engineering geophysics exploration, after the geological condition of 13th coal seam and its roof rock mass have been analyzed in xingji No.1 mine , the insidious structures in the longwall top-coal caving face are detected by seismic tomography technology and the geological mechanic parameters of coal seam are estimated. The behaviors of over strata moving and roadway deformation within the curve subsidence zone and mining pressure are studied with methods of site measure, physical modeling and digital computer modeling. Depending on medium condition, buried background and engineering factors, the dynamical models of the roof stability are established, and the roof stability is dynamically evaluated. The measures of roof controlling, which has been applied to practicality, are suggested pertinently according to diverse geological terms.
