Highway heavy metal pollution has been an important issue in the field of environmental geochemistry. The application of frontier technology and advanced analytic technology leaded to the improvement of the analytic accuracy of heavy metals and the reduction of the limitations of detection in recent years, which brought about many research on highway heavy metal pollution from different perspectives. For example, the research on the ecological system retrogression and mechanism within a huge dimension, on the landscape structure, function, and dynamic development, especially, on the broken landscape produced by the heavy metal pollution and the circulation of biological global chemistry of the pollutants of the whole world at a macro-level study, on the micro-evolution resulted from tiny differences of the population inheritance produced by the heavy metal pollution at a middle-level study, and on the chromosome variation of cells polluted by the heavy metal and the molecular variation of gene and genetic group, which in turn resulted in the variation of protein and protein group. At present, as the development of molecule-biology and genetic engineering technology, more and more research tends to be on the gene-orientation and clone of...
