Electrochemical methods used in environmental contaminants treatment have more and more attentions for recent several decades. In these methods, electroflocculation and electrofloatation have reached profitable commercialization in some industrial wastewater treatment. For the disadvantage of electrode deterionation, energy consume and tend to come into being looping flow, the electroflocculation and electrofloatation have been restricted to make used on a large scale. For electrofloatation, a "environment friendly green technology", investigative focus on reducing energy consume and looping flow the recently. In this case, the impulse electrofloatation has been bringing forward in this paper.In this paper, the effect of the flocculation has been analyzed detailedly. The research about dynamic mechanism of flocculation is elucidated based on the characteristcs of turbulent flow in this paper. The shearing force and the centrifugal force transferred by the vortex are the main forces to cause collision of flocculated grains in water and the shearing force is the primary one. Based on this mechanism and the theory of self-excited oscillation jet, a new type of self-excited oscillation pipeline flocculator is designed. It has been proved by experiment that the disposal effect of the Impulse electrofloatation is improved.The mathematical model of the decontaminating free particle has been determined at the manner of steel-ball model, and the mathematical model of the Impulse electroflotation reacting tank which determines the height, volume and treatment capability of Impulse electroflotation is provided on the base of the basic equations of electroflotation.In this paper, impulse electroflotation water treatment complete equipment is introduced as energy-saving and comprehensive wastewater treatment equipment with which the organic compound in the wastewater is removed effectively. With this equipment, the energy consume is reduced by 40%—60%. Based on the traditional electroflotation technology, the factors effecting the impulse electroflotation water treatment are analyzed comprehensively.
