Using combined techniques of irradiation, slurry blending and spray drying, in this paper, we have successfully fabricated the ultrafme full-vulcanized powder rubber (UFPR), the complex powder of UFPR/nano-sized calcium carbonate (UFPR/NCC) and the complex powder of UFPR/untreated sodium-montmorillonite (UFPR/MMT), then we prepared the PVC/UFPR binary, PVC/UFPR/NCC and PVC/UFPR/MMT ternary nanocomposites by the melt blending.Having been irradiated, the rubber particles in latex had high crosslinking degree on the surface and moderate crosslinking degree in the inner parts, which make it possible that UFPRs are dispersed separately in PVC matrix due to the similar miscibility during the melt blending.Three kinds of PVC/NBR-UFPR binary composites (PVC-1, PVC-2 and PVC-3) were prepared using three kinds of NBR-UFPRs, P-248 (150nm and acrylonitrile content of 33%), P-6387 (90nm and acrylonitrile content of 33%), P-26 (70nm and acrylonitrile content of 26%). Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed that all those NBR-UFPRs could be well dispersed separately in PVC matrix.
