The loss of water and soil caused by the damaged population, soil degradation, soil productivity notably descending and the relevant eco-environment changes are the constraint factors to the sustainable development of economy and utilization of resource in the upper reaches of Changjiang River. Jialing River is one of the main branched of ChangJiang river, the serious degraded eco-system is the main factors resulting in the water and soil loss. The research on the vegetation regeneration and its effect of the area will play a very important role in fulfilling the green eco-barrier functions of Changjiang river ,effecting a radical cure of inundating, guaranteeing that Three Gorges Project (TGP) run safely .promote the sustainable development of economy and society of the whole ChangJiang drainage area. It is no doubt means a strategic significance. In recent years, the research on the artificial vegetation regeneration of the degraded eco-system mainly focus on the compare research of eco-system before and after the regeneration, which are mainly static, aiming at a certain forestry or a certain tache.However, the self-structure, function, stability and succession dynamics after regeneration, especially succession dynamics and the synthesis improvement of eco-system and the appraisal to it was seldom reported.The subject of the research in this paper was the degraded ecosystem in Guangyuan city, the upper reaches of Jialing River. Based on the former research as as part of the "The tenth five year project", "The synthesis management of water and soil loss in Low mountain and hill areas " (2004BA606A-06),"Techniques and demonstration of water and soil loss in low mountain areas .Guided by modern restoration ecology, theoretics, the water holding capacity ,the effect of water and soil conservation ,the dynamics of bio-diversity ,the dynamics of soil nutrient ,the dynamics of soil microbe Were evaluated deeply in the paper based on the field survey and room analysis .Expecting exploring the dynamic rules of the vegetation regeneration of the serious degrade eco-system and appraising the foreground of sustainable development under different vegetation regeneration modes ,offering the theoretics gists and technological support .The main content and result showed as flowing :...
