Preparation And Application Of Hydrophilic Ionic Liquids In Olefin Hydroformylation And Aryl Halide Carbonylation

In recent years, ionic liquids as novel environmentally friendly solvents and catalysts have been received increasing recognition and acceptance. They exhibited great potential advantages in the development of novel catalytic technologies of organic synthesis with better yield and selectivity. Organic-ionic liquid biphasic system with water-soluble organometallic complexes as catalysts is one of the frontier fields in the"Green Chemistry"that is progressing quickly recently. Our studies were focused on the synthesis of novel ionic liquids, which could immobilize water-soluble organometallic complexes, and their application in olefin hydroformylation and carbonylation of aryl halides. Some progress in theoretic study and application has been obtained.A series of ionic liquids [Rmim][p-CH3C6H4SO3] were designed and synthesized using improved method, and characterized by 1H NMR. The ionic liquids showed high thermal stability. The improved method exhibited great advantages in the ease of handling and purification of products.
