The Zn(II) complexes play a key role in the living and catalytic industry area. A large amount of catalysts are based on Zn(II) complexes. In this paper, the dimetalcyan catalytic system based on the Zn(II) complexes were studied as ring-opening polymerization catalyst for oxide propylene. The influence of temperature, Zn/Fe ratio, time and the amount of tBuOH on the catalytic result were investigated. The results show that the optimal catalytic condition is 120℃6 hours 15 mg catalyst and 15mg tBuOH. The polymers weight are in the range of 10000~13000 with low PDI. No initiators need in the polymerization and only a little amount of tBuOH were needed. Increase in the amount of tBuOH caused the yield of the polymer. The molecular-weight of the polymer are determined by the amount of the chain-transfer reagent.Recently, utilizing CO2 as a feedstock has drawn considerable attention because CO2 is abundant, inexpensive, and nontoxic. Environmental and economical benefits would be great if the polymers derived from CO2 could replace totally petroleum-derived polymers.A series of amino-imino ligands with different substitutes on nitrogen atoms...
