Study Of Synthesis, Thermochemistry Characteristics Of Room Temperature Ionic Liquids And Their Applications In Modification Of Nafion Proton Exchange Membrane

As a kind of benign green solvent and novel functional material,RTILs have attracted great attention of the scientific and industrial fields. In recent years, RTILs has widely been applied in many fields, However, the thermodynamics in the synthesis process and the research on the relationship between the structure and the thermodynamic properties of the compounds are quite few.In the present thesis, Ten RTILs including BPC, EMIC, BMIC, PMIC, HMIC, BPBF₄, BMIBF₄, BPPF₆, BMIPF₆ and EMIES were synthesized with cheap industrial material, and their structures have been confirmed through corresponding melting point and 1HNMR.Heat capacities, heats of combustion and enthalpies of solution for RTILs have been investigated by a fully automated precision adiabatic calorimeter, a high precision oxygen bomb calorimeter and an isoperibol calorimeter. Nafion 115 proton exchange membranes were modified by RTILs at different temperatures. By using a Q1000 type DSC, a fully automated precision adiabatic calorimeter, a thermal gravimetric analyzer, a TPS2500 Hot Disk thermal constants analyzer and an electrochemistry workstation, reversible heat capacities, nonreversible heat capacities, diffusion coefficient, the thermal conductivity and impedance have been investigated.The RTILs-modified Nafion 115 proton exchange membranes possessed favorable thermochemistry and electrochemistry properties. It provided a new chance for the improvement of characteristics of fuel cells based on the modifiedNafion 115 proton exchange membranes.
