Detection Of Methane And Carbon Monoxide With Spectroscopy

Atmosphere is the environment of people living and development. It is necessary to protect and improve the atmosphere environment for accelerate the society and economic development. Methane and Carbon monoxide are trace gas in atmosphere. When the concentration exceeds the level, the mixture could explode. And carbon monoxide is a kind of poison gas. When the level of CO rises beyond 1000ppm (1ppm=10-6), it will be lethal. So it is very important to monitor these two kinds of gas in atmosphere. In this paper, we first introduce the tradition method for gas detection, then demonstrate the methane and carbon monoxide detection by optical technology.
