Low porosity and permeability clastic oil reservoir often take on many characteristics including bad petrophysical property, strong anisotrophy, difficult estimation of reservoir, complicated grow theory and accumulation law of oil, bad store and seepage capability, low development of reserves, diffcult large scale development of oil. In this paper, the systemic fine description and technical study are done, aiming at J2S1 reservoir with low permeability and difficult development under the direction of theory and subjects including petroleum geology, moderu sendimentology, reservoir geology, development geology and petroleum reservoir engineering etc. Meanwhile, aiming at the geological characteristics and development reality of J2S1 reservoir, the technologies are applied including identification and estimation of fractures, interpretation of petrophysical parameters of reservoir, integrated reservoir studies of geological modeling and numerical simulation, synthetical evaluation of reserves, combining quiescent geological model with dynamic estimation model.In the course of studies, the fruit and congnition are consulted from the former. The grow character and distribution law of fracture are studied by analyzing the fracture respond from logging, combining with FEM. At the base of fine patition and contrast of subzone, the fine structure characters of reservoir are incarnated by seismogram, logging and drilling. The 3D property models of reservoir, including stratum trellis model, lay model, facies model, property parameters models, liquid distribution model, are established by fine evaluation of reservoir and the combination of determinate modeling with stochastic modeling. The forecast model is also set up by analyzing the seepage characteristic, dynamic production character, accumulation law of oil, distribution character of remaining reserves and numerical simulation technology. Finally, at the base of fine reservoir description, the measures of developing potential and adding benefit are put forward by synthesizing the quality of reservoir, growing degree of fracture, the accumulation law of oil and distribution character of remaining reserves.In this paper, the leading of geology is emphasized and the systemic technical thought road from lay to structure to reservoir is run. In short, a set of thought road and technical means of studying low porosity and permeability clastic oil reservoir is come into being by combining the quiescent with the dynamic, combining the qualitative with the quantitative from the macroscopical to the microcosmic by proving and deducing mutually.
