In recent years, Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells have attracted extensive attention of the worldwide researchers, because of excellent properties, low cost and ease of being controlled based on the molecular level. These properties made the semiconductive material of TiO2 become an important part of solar cell. The main work of this paper is preparing TiO2 film electrode using screen-printing technique, based on the preparation of TiO2 colloidal using sol-gel method. By studying the technology of TiO2 film electrode, optimizing the microstructure of TiO2 film, so as to obtain the high efficiency solar cell. The other part of my work is preparing CdSe sensitized TiO2 film electrode using chemical deposition method, pioneering a new way for applying on photoelectrochemical cells.Preparing TiO2 film electrode using screen-printing technique, based on the preparation of TiO2 colloidal using sol-gel method, optimizing the ratio of terpineol, polyacrylate, TX-100 and TiO2. Analyzing the crystal, particle size, surface, chemical state and adsorption spectrum using XRD, SEM, TEM, N2 adsorption-desorption, XPS and UV-Vis spectrum. Preparing TiO2 electrode sensitized with organic dyes. The electrode exhibited good performance in the conduction of 100 mW/cm2, the solar cell assembly with the electrode has 6.9% efficiency. Chemical modification was studied on the effect of the properties of TiO2 electrode. It was found the electrode treated with TiCl4 has large roughness and dye adsorption, increasing the efficiency to 7.59%.Sensitized TiO2 film electrode with nanocrystalline CdSe using chemical deposition method, optimizing preparation techniques of TiO2/CdSe, analyzing the crystal, particle size, elements, binding energy and adsorption spectrum using XRD, SEM, EDS, TEM, XPS and UV-Vis spectrum. It was proved that the composite films absorbed more visible light and had high photoelectron transfer rate, it reduced charge recombination losses which lead to a substantial improvement on the photocurrent. The composite films can be used photoelectrode after some improvement of the films.
