High speeds and high precision have become a main trend in the field of mechanical equipments. As an important constitution of mechanical equipments, more attentions have been paid to circumrotatory machines. Aimed at magnetic rotor, the technique for measuring rotor's rotating error, and corresponding data processig methods have been investigated by academic analysis and experimental reaearch. It has important significations in analyzing disturbances which making against the rotor's rotating precision. It also has great significations in modifying rotor's design scheme for developing rotor's rotating precisionBy using two sensors to construct a complex function, it was used in analyzing and testing rotor's rotating error. Complex function FFT algorithm has been investigated, according the algorithm rotor's eccentricity motion can be described as a circumvolve vector in complex plane. According vector's amplitude and phase, rotor's static unbanlance and dynamic unbanlance were distinguished. It has great significations in analyzing rotor's rotating error. The influences of integer frenquency ponderance and quasi periodic frequency ponderance upon to machining process have been researched, the maching processes can be divided into workpiece rotating model and tool rotating.model, and some simulation results were provided. Based on this, a rotor's rotating error evaluation methods were suggested, they are shape-formula method and sensitivity orientation method.For the sensor's selection in non-contacted measurement, the average effects were investigated in measuring rotor's rotating error. The amplitude characteristics have been investigated by theorytical analysis and experiments, the attenuation properties of average effects were obtained. Based on this, the sensor's selection principle was deduced.After analyzing magnetic rotor's rotating error, the related fractional theories were introduced. According fractional dimensions and phase space reconstruction, the magnetic rotor's fractional characters were obtained. It illustrates that if rotor was influenced by periodic factors, its fractional dimensions would be small, if it has no outstanding disturbances the fractional dimensions would be large.Based on fractional Brown motion a predicting method for magnetic rotor's rotating error was suggested. Engaged with R/S analysis, the rotor's stability has been researched systemically, the algorithms for Hurst index value and Vn~LOG(n) curve were suggested, the corresponding experiments proved that this method can be used in predicting rotor's stability. Combining above research, a large amounts of experimentation have been carried out upon magnetic rotor, it indicates the presented methods have availability and feasibility, the paper suggested a new approach for analyzing rotating error.
