There are excellent characters of oil,heat and corrosion resistance in Nitrile Buladiene Rubber(NBR).So NBR was used by sealing products.NBR seal was used in machinery,electronics,transportation,petrochemical,metallurgical,aviation, aerospace,defense,scientific research and other fields widely.When the properties of mechatronic equipments continuously was improved,the properties of rubber seals were increasingly stringently required.In order to improve the used limit of seals,both considering necessary the mechanical properties,spring and oil resistance of the rubber seals,we have to improve the wear-resistant and antifriction properties.Application of nanometer technique in the compound rubber was put forward based on the investigation of the actual and new progress about oversea and domestic rubber seals,so Fe3O4 Magnetic Nitrile Buladiene Rubber(MNBR)was studied in this research.There were some unique advantages in the nano-particle:a small size,big surface rate,different shape,strong surface active character. Application of nano-particles in MNBR could be notability improved properties,for example tensile strength,strain strength,wear-resistant and magnetic properties.It is got more appreciated for application of nano-magnetic technique in compounded rubber.Nano-Fe3O4 particles was impregnated in NBR in this research.By means of Fe3O4-rubber material designing and making,we studied the relations between state of Fe3O4 and mechanic,wear-resistant properties of rubber,and reached into a mechanism about wear-resistant and antifriction of this kind rubber.These would provide theories and experiments for designing high elastic properties of the seal material.In summary,the research content of this topic are as following:1)After nano-Fe3O4 MNBR was prepared,mechanical,the tensile-strength and extensibility of the rubber was decreased and the hardness was increased.And other properties of the rubber were not changed obviously.2)It will decrease the coefficient of friction and the attrition rate of MNBR when the nano-Fe3O4 was filled in NBR.Sometimes there are good properties of oil resistant and other properties in this kind of rubber.When mass percent of the Fe3O4 particles filled is 12%,fraction factor reached the least 0.226.And the friction factor is 0.775 of NBR.3)The impregnation of nano-Fe3O4 fillers in NBR could come into physical absorbed film and self restored film on the substrate surface.So Fe3O4 MNBR improved wear-resistant of NBR.4)Because the mass percent of Fe3O4 fillers was different,the wearied forms of the rubber were different.The wear forms of materials were changed from the cutting and adhering to the adhering and fatigue flaking.5)The sealing capacity and length of life will be improved by using the sealing elements made of the nano-Fe3O4 MNBR in machine and equipment.
