Natural gas is a multi-component mixture of various of flammable, explosive gas, sour feed gas also contains hydrogen sulfide and other toxic substances, if the accidents, such as gas leak or squib happened in the pipe system, which may result in personal injury, facility damage, the serious consequences of environmental pollution. Globally, more than half of all long-distance pipeline has entered the aging stage, there are many potential causes of accidents, accidents happen frequently.Natural gas pipeline accident of different release sources in extreme conditions (wind speed: 1.5m/s; atmospheric stability: F; rupture area: 100% A; landforms: plains) was simulated using UDM model。For 1 ~ 7km long medium-pressure, small diameter pipelines, hydrogen sulfide content of 15%, the hydrogen sulfide with a center concentration of 300ppm after pipeline leak diffuses a distance of 359m ~ 586m, the diffusion distance is 109m ~ 199m when the ground concentration of hydrogen sulfide is 300ppm; hydrogen sulfide content of 10%, the hydrogen sulfide with a center concentration of 300ppm after pipeline leak diffuses a distance of 246m ~ 481m, the diffusion distance is 72m ~ 149m when the ground concentration of hydrogen sulfide is 300ppm; as the hydrogen sulfide content is 2%, the hydrogen sulfide with a center concentration of 300ppm after pipeline leak diffuses a distance of 103m ~ 171m, the diffusion distance is 57m ~ 97m when the ground concentration of hydrogen sulfide is 300ppm; for 1 ~ 7km-long high-pressure, small diameter pipelines, when hydrogen sulfide content is 10%, the hydrogen sulfide with a center concentration of 300ppm after pipeline leak diffuses a distance of 340m ~ 566m, the diffusion distance is 102m ~ 175m when the ground concentration of hydrogen sulfide is 300ppm; for 1 ~ 7km-long high-voltage, medium diameter pipelines, as the hydrogen sulfide content is 10%, the hydrogen sulfide with a center concentration of 300ppm after pipeline leak diffuses a distance of 654m ~ 1273m, the diffusion distance is 181m ~ 385m when the ground concentration of hydrogen sulfide is 300ppm.For 4km long, medium pressure small diameter pipeline, the hydrogen sulfide with a ground concentration of 300ppm after pipeline leak diffuses a distance of 79m ~ 167m, which required arrival time for about 1 minutes. Toxicity clouds will appear in less than 178m away from the leak point when the ground concentration of H2S is 100ppm; For high-pressure, small diameter pipeline, the diffusion distance is 150m ~ 336m when the ground concentration of hydrogen sulfide is 300ppm. For 1 ~ 7km long medium-pressure, small diameter pipelines, when the hydrogen sulfide content is 15%, the pipeline jet combustion of 4.0kw/m~2 affects 77m ~ 129m; As hydrogen sulfide content is 10%, the pipeline jet combustion of 4.0kw/m~2 can affects 80m ~ 161m; Hydrogen sulfide content is 2%, the impact distance of pipeline jet burning 4.0kw/m~2 is 77m ~ 132m; for 1 ~ 7km-long high-pressure, medium diameter pipelines, when hydrogen sulfide content is 10%, the pipe jet burning 4.0kw/m~2 affects a distance of 220m ~ 444m; for 1 ~ 7km-long high-pressure, small diameter pipelines, as the hydrogen sulfide content is 10%, the pipeline jet burning 4.0kw/m~2 affects 106m ~ 182m.For 1 ~ 7km long medium-pressure, small diameter pipelines, as the hydrogen sulfide content is 15%, the death radius of the potential explosion cloud is 113m ~ 190m, seriously injured radius is 120m ~ 202m, minor injury radius is 137m ~ 227m; as hydrogen sulfide content is 10%, the death radius of the potential explosion cloud is 92m ~ 204m, seriously injury radius is 99m ~ 218m, minor injury radius is 114m ~ 248m; when the hydrogen sulfide content is 2%, the death radius of the potential explosion cloud is 102m ~ 162m, seriously injury radius is 110m ~ 128m, minor injury radius is 127m ~ 205m. For 1 ~ 7km-long high-pressure, medium diameter pipelines, natural gas with a content of 10% hydrogen sulfide, the death radius of the potential explosion cloud is 271m ~ 519m, seriously injury radius is 289m ~ 545m, minor injury radius is 328m ~ 610m; for 1 ~ 7km long high-pressure, small diameter pipelines, as hydrogen sulfide content was 10%, the death radius of the potential explosion cloud is 137m ~ 229m, seriously injury radius is 147m ~ 245m, minor injury radius is 168m ~ 280m.Based on the UDM model,gas pipeline accident of different release source under different conditions is simulated, which provides means and methods for safety pre-evaluation assessment and actuality evaluation. Meanwhile, it provides scientific proof for the accident emergency preplan and decision-making. The accidents consequence can be reduced.
