By using hydrothermal and solvent-thermal method, we have obtained twenty -five metal coordination compounds containg water cluster. The crystal structures of these compounds were also obtained. There are eighteen anion water cluster compounds, six neutral water cluster compounds and one cation water cluster compound which contain V-Mo Kiggin structure.The eighteen anion water cluster compounds are three OH- water clusters, eight X-water cluster, two SO42- water clusters, two NO3- water cluster, two PO43- water clusters and one CO32- water cluster.Three OH- water cluster compounds are [CuCl(bipy)2][(OH)2(H2O)8]·3H2O OH-a containing absolute [(H2O)8(OH)2]n2n- water cluster which forms trans-1,6-poly(3,4-dimethyl phenylethylene) configuration; [CuCl(phen)2]n[(OH)(H2O)4]n·nH2O OH-b containing [(OH)(H2O)4]nn- anion water cluster; and [NiCl(phen)2]n[(OH) (H2O)3.5]n·n(H2O)2 OH-c containing [(OH)2(H2O)3.5]nn- anion water cluster. The chiral structure of water cluster in compounds OH-b and OH-c is also studied.There are four F- water clusters in eight halogen anion water clusters. They are respectively [Ni(Im)6]·2F·5H2O F-a which contains [(H2O)5F2]n2- water cluster; [Cr(bipy) (H2O)F3]·2H2O F-b containing one dimension structure [(H2O)4F3]n3- water cluster; [Cd(Im)6]·2F·2H2O F-c containing one dimension chain [(H2O)2F2]42-; and [Co(Im)6]·F·NO3·2H2O F-d which contains F- and NO3-and forms planar [(H2O)2 F(NO3)]n2- water cluster. The four Cl" anion water clusters are respectively [Co(phen)2·Cl·H2O]·4H2O·Cl Cl-a which contains two dimension spiral hole structure [(H2O)4Cl]nn- water cluster; [Co(Im)6]·4H2O·2Cl Cl-b which contains two dimension planar structure [(H2O)4Cl2]n2n- water cluster; [Co(PhCOCH2CH2Taz)4Cl2]-6H2O Cl-c which contains T4(2)8(2) two dimension planar [(H2O)6Cl2]n2n- water cluster; and [Cu3(DMAP)12Cl6·8H2O] Cl-d which contains cage structure [(H2O)8C14]4- water cluster.Two SO42-anion water clusters are [Ni(Im)6]·SO42-·3H2O SO42--a containing eleven water molecules cluster and [Cu(BenIm)4·(SO4)]2-6H2O SO42--b containing three dimension networks [(H2O)6SO4]n2n- water cluster. Two NO3- anion water clusters are [Ni(Im)6]·2(NO3)·7H2O NO3--a containing two dimension network [(H2O)7(NO3)2]n2-water cluster and [Ni(phen)6-EtPh]·NO3·3H2O NO3--b containing one dimension chain water cluster. Two PO43-anion water clusters are dinuclear Cu compound PO43--a which contains 18-ring members two dimension water cluster and four-nuclear Cu compounds PO43--b which contains forty ring members anion water cluster. The CO32- anion water cluster compound are [Ni(Im)6]·CO32-·3H2O CO32--a which contains two dimension planar water cluster.The six neutral water clusters are [CuCl(phen)(gly)]·4H2O (N-I) which contains phenanthro-[1,2]phenanthrene polymer like water cluster and nano conduit linking by Cl atom; [Cu2(bipy)(H2P2O7)(μ-H2O)]·4H2O (N-II) which forms three dimension network water cluster;{[Cd2(DMAP)4Cl2]·2H2O}n (N-III) which forms benzol-ring like water cluster linking by Cl atom; Cr(PyCOO)·3H2O (N-IV) and [Cu2(PyCOO)2 (H2O)2]·H2O (N-V) two structures all contain one dimension water cluster; {[Cu2(TTA)2(μ-H2O)2]4H2O}∞(N-VI) which contains discrete U-like water cluster; [phen=o-phenanethroline, gly= glycine, bipy= 2,2'-bipyridine, DMAP= N'N-dimethyl-p-amine pyridine, PyCOO= isonicotinic acid, TTA= tartaric acid]. The one cation water cluster compound is Na6[VMo12O40]2(KOH)(H20)36 (C-a).We have studied the crystal structures of above twenty-five water cluster compounds by using Mercury and Diamond soft, and obtained several different forms and spatial arrange water cluster geometry structure. These water cluster compounds have also been characterized by element analysis, solid UV spectra, IR spectral and powder X-ray etc. al. Their thermal stability was studied by thermal gravimetric (TG) and differential analysis (DTA), and their electrocatalytic activity was was investigated by cyclic voltammetry in the aqueous solution.The compound, [CuCl(phen)(gly)]·4H2O, exhibit strong H-binding networks in its corresponding crystal structures. In an effort in finding efficient artifical nucleases, the transfer RNA binding and degradation chemistry of this pyramid complex has been investigated by ultraviolet-visible and fluorescence spectroscopies, cyclic voltammetry (CV), capillary electrophoresis (CE) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) methods. This compound can efficiently degrade the high-order structure of RNA in the physiological conditions (pH 7.0 phosphate buffer, and 37℃) without additional coreactants, having the digestion coefficient of about 100% in 72 h. This study targeting the genetic biomacromolecules degradation based on the strong binding of chemical nucleases paves an important way to the novel materials in the decontamination of microorganisms (e.g., bacteria and viruses).
