As the simulation training can help train people more effectively and save great expenses of real training, it is widely used in civil and military fields. The simulator provides a simulating flat between the actual environment and the training needs. If the navy wants to efficiently use the simulator to train sailor, the key point is the accurate and reliable mathematic model of the submarine simulator; however, the model in use has the characteristics of complicated style and lots of resulting hydrodynamic coefficients and errors in simulation; therefore, this paper try to assure the simulation quality and reliability, find the defect in time, and improve the process aiming of specific defect. This research can complete the mathematic model of the simulation device and effectively train the sailor without realistic submarine.Firstly, this paper analyzes the classic Gertler model, and then presents a general purpose method of calculating the 6 degree of dimensions model in common and dimensionless model, which makes simplifying the model and optimizing the hydrodynamic coefficients through this method possible.Secondly, the zero sensitivity index and variable sensitivity index are put forward after analyzing the category of hydrodynamic coefficients and simulating a mount of maneuvering test. The minimum model and sensitivity maneuvering model are derived from the principle of zero sensitivity index and variable sensitivity. The simulation comparison among simulation model, designed model, minimum model and sensitivity maneuvering model is made in this paper.Thirdly, as the error exists between simulator results and realistic submarine results and the actual maneuvering parameters and hydrodynamic are not easy to acquire, the simulation data are changed for imitating actual maneuvering parameters. The deviation of the imitating data from sensitivity maneuvering model data is used as the fitness function of the PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization) which is of use in optimizing the coefficients, category, number and range of the hydrodynamic and the kind of maneuvering test are defined. The initial particle and the inertial weight choosing are improved. The shortcomings of this effective algorithm are also discussed in the paper and a plan is provided to correct them in the future.Finally, the method is simple in style, easy to understand and operate, and it can help different kinds of submarine simulator to simplify models and optimize coefficients. The application of this method would enhance the reliability, reduce the deviation and increase the simulation effect in order to reach the level of marine standard.
