The issues of traffic congestion, frequent accidents and others about energy, environment and so seriously troubles cities around the world, and affects their sustainable development. Practices around the world have proved that the intelligent transport system (ITS) is an effective way to solute urban traffic problems. Traffic experts and scholars around the world, including China, have make a great deal of analysis and research on urban transport issues, and strived to ease traffic problems in many aspects, and the Integrated Supervisory and Control System (ISCS) is a key to ITS Central.Based on the auspices of my instructor's "11th Five-Year Plan" national scientific and technological projects, "the basis research of traffic information collection and communication technology" and " urban transport integration of Guanzhong area " pre-research topics, around the theme of " key information technology research to urban traffic ISCS", the key technology of traffic information obtain, information communication on net, information pick-up and amalgamation and data-base management is studied. The main works and innovations are summarized as follows:1. The urban traffic management strategy and information-sharing mechanisms of ISCS database, which includes the interspace piece, data standards and the flow of data processing is designed, data storage programs of UITIP is optimized, and the quality of traffic information management and data integration is researched.2. Based on CAN bus technology, the traffic information obtain technology is studied in allusion to urban traffic characteristics. Its hardware modular is designed, and the interface application layer protocol, which data format, communication protocols, error-disposal protocols, interrupt service routine (ISR) and so on, is developed. Experiments validated the effectiveness of those protocols.3. Based on IEEE 1451 standards technology, ISCS messaging platform is constructed. The concept of Sensor Agent Server (SAS) is introduced to intelligent traffic information collection systems, and the network of sensors is studied based on IPv6 routing protocols. The hardware modular design and object-oriented application are developed, and the experiment is completed and analyzed. 4. The key technology of information pick-up and amalgamation is studied. Based on expansion and compatible characteristics of traffic information, data structure is designed, and the arithmetic combined with modern signal processing, wavelet analyze and artificial neural network methods to extract heavy traffic information applications is bring forward, data simulated and analyzed.Urban Transport is a very complexity worldwide problem, many aspects are needed to ease or even resolve it. Based on experiments and empirical data, the key information technology of urban traffic ISCS is analyzed and studied in multi-aspects, the results of the study have a certain theoretical and engineering guidance sense to implementation of the project.
