High-strength concrete and steel reinforcement high-stength concrete are widely used with the development of high rise building. The research is carried out for mechanics peformance of high-strength concrete and steel reinforcement high-strength concrete short columns through the test of 50 short columns. The research of high-strength concrete short columns in antiseismic perfor- mance is carried out. The main factors which affect the ductility of high-strength concrete short columns are analyzed. The relative formula between axial pressure ratio and hooped reinforcement ratio of short column is obtained. The suggested limit values of axial pressure ratio and minimum hooped ratio of short columus are put forward through the test, which satisfy certain requirement of ductility. The test research of shear strength of high-strength concrete frame short column is carried out in the paper. The main factors which affect the shear strength of high-strength concrete short columns are analyzed. The shear strength formula of high-strength concrete short columns is put forward through the test. The caculated results are corresponding with that of test results very well. The research of steel reinforcement high-strength concrete short columns in antiseimie performance is carry out. The factors such as axial pressure ratio, hooped ratio, steel ratio and so on, which affect the ductility of steel reinforce- ment high-strength concrete short columns, are analyzed. The relative curves be- tween factors and ductility are obtained. According to the test results, the limit values of axial pressure ratio and their correspondent hooped ratio of steel rein- forcement high-strength concrete short columns are put forward, which satisfycertain requirement of ductility.The test research of shear strength of steel reinfOrcement high-strength con-crete short columns is carry out.
