Investigation of the earthquake damage shows that the design of the columns that support the structure is the key to prevent collapse in the earthquake. The concrete structure with large section is unsuitable to use or difficult to dispose. And the steel structure is easy to be eroded and has bad capability of fireproofing. Based on the situation of our country, SRC structure is a better project. The author studied the earthquake resistance of extreme high-strength concrete short columns and SREHC short columns through 20 specimens. The major contents are summarized as follows:The author analyses the gray associated degree between the quantity of component and strength and fluidity in preparation of extreme high-strength concrete by gray system theory, summarizes the key factors that influence the preparation of extreme high-strength concrete, confirms the proportion ratio of extreme high-strength concrete. The author also presents the time effect coefficient between 7-day strength and 28-day strength.The author studies the earthquake resistance ability of extreme high-strength concrete short columns based on result of experimentation, analyses destruction aspect and stagnant circle characteristic of extreme high-strength concrete short columns, analyses the factors that influence the ductility of extreme high-strength concrete short columns, suggest some applications of extreme high-strength concrete short columns in engineering.The author studies the earthquake resistance ability of SREHC short columns, analyses destruction aspect and stagnant circle characteristic of SREHC short columns based on result of experimentation, studies the effect of axial press ratio and hooped ratio to the ductility of SREHC short columns, presents the relation curve of contributory factor and ductility coefficient. The current nation codes don't conclude axial press ratio limit of SREHC short columns, presents the axial press ratio limit and correspond hooped ratio of SREHC short columns.
