As a kind of typical controlling apparatus, The relay is widely used in many control systems. The high capability of relay is required, otherwise, the reliability of the wholly system in which the relays are used is fall, even some fates may be bring. Through the electric life testing of relay, not only the mark of relay's electric life can be gotten, but also the main failure reasons of relay are fond, in favour of raise standard of the relay. The research on the method, the standard and electric life testing devices of relay is an important focus in the oversea and domestic investigative field.Through theoretical analyzing and experimentation, the paper presents a method of relay's electric life testing, when relay control single-phase alternate current asynchronous motor (SACAM) starting and stopping directly. The computer technology of control, sampling and data processing is researched on electric life testing of relay that is used in all sorts of modes, include aforesaid mode.The technology of research include following. The computer order control to attain testing condition of relay's turn-on and off. To control of testing AC voltage by adoption of advance control strategy. The sampling and real-time dynamic waveforms of testing parameters. High-frequency signal sampling by DSP (Digital Signal Processors). The way of fast calculating the virtual value of voltage by PC, the way of calculating the power frequency and power factor.Base on that, the computer control electric life test device of relay has made. The device is high-capability and lower-price, can be also used for electric life testing of contactor, and has been applied by some large apparatus manufacture factory.
