The proposition of the thesis is Dam Safety Monitoring Integrated Intelligent Expert System. It mainly researches the core problem of knowledge representation and knowledge integration in dam safety monitoring expert system. The key technology of Dam Safety Monitoring Integrated Intelligent Expert System (DSMIIES) is researched to achieve the goal of solving the problems existing in current systems and serving engineering applications. The main contents are as follows:(1) The study of the system structure of DSMIIES. As a result, logical model and physical model of DSMIIES are obtained. Meanwhile, an optimum system structure fit into dam safety monitoring is put forward from the angle of software development.(2) The study of knowledge representation. An integrated knowledge representation of object-oriented method, rule, machined code and text code is worked out. As the application of knowledge representation, controllable management of monitoring sensors, dynamical creation of monitoring model and quantification of qualitative knowledge is discussed.(3). The study of knowledge discovery in database. An interactive knowledge discovery model based on component technology is explored, and the method to discover the relational monitoring sensors for a particular monitoring sensor is given(4) The study of Integrated Intelligence. Firstly, multi-sensor data integration is discussed and is applied to find out abnormal value, abnormal tendency, system error and monitoring default. Secondly, full time integrated analysis of environment influence to dependent variable is put forward. Thirdly, based on least square method a direct way to solve equation of combination model is obtained. Finally, integration the artificial neural network and the traditional expert system is explored.(5) The study of Internet based Dam Safety Remote Diagnosis and Aided Decision Making Subsystem (DSRDADMS). Firstly, primary function and structure is discussed, secondly, aiming at the characteristic of dam safety monitoring, key technology and detailed method to construction DSRDADMS is given, finally, centralized diagnosis based on Internet is explored.(6) The study of the development of the Three Gorges Project Safety Decision Support System (TGPSDSS). According to software requirement, the realization of TGPSDSS is discussed in detail.
