The reason why equipment failure is that wear bring on friction, and Lubricating additive is the mostly measure that decrease friction and wear.The traditional additives only slow the speed of the wear increasing with the sliding distance extension and have only the ability of antiwear,Neither have it the wear-self-compensation effect nor make the negative wear.According to the theory of wear-self-compensation repairing,two kinds of wear-self-compensation lubricating additives that possess excellent wear-self-compensation repairing effects for both steel/steel rubbing pairs and steel/copper were produced for the first time.The relationship of the wear-self-compensation repairing effect and tribological effect with the systemic conditions (velocity ? pressure> time and viscosity of the basic oils et al) and the materials of the rubbing pairs were studied.Its adaptability were studied that the wear-self-compensation with the improving lubricating additives of the basic oils.The composition of compensation film were analysed by modern analysis instrument,and the mechanism of its forming film was investigation.Wear-self-compensation repairing effects of two kinds of SRT as additive in lubricating oil was evaluated by the plane/plane contact of the ring/ring rubbing pairs.The experiments indicated that two kinds of additives had outstanding wear-self-compensating effect on both steel/steel rubbing pairs and steel/copper rubbing pairs,the rubbing pairs had formed negative-wear,!! is breakthrough that the traditional law of tribology that the wear of the rubbing pairs increased with the extension of distances ,increased with theinincrease of load carring,increased with the decrease of the viscosity of basic oil. The tribological behavior of SRT as additive in N68 machine oil was evaluated using Four-Ball Machine,the results shows that it is excellent in load carrying property and friction reduction.The tribological test shows: two kinds of SRT additive are cooperated well with the improving addition of the basic oil, they provide excellent in load carrying property,good in antiwear,friction reduction.The research results indicated : SRTi and SRT2 additives had adaptabilty well in four kinds of product oil (L-HM68 hydraulic oils,L-DAB100 compressor oil,L-CKC150 industrial gear oils and L-CKE worm gearing oil),It had excellent wear-self-compensation effect with both steel/steel rubbing pairs and steel/copper rubbing pairs.The friction surface was examined by FT-IR equipped with a microscope and digital image processing system.The results of analysis show:SRTi and SRT2 as additive in lubricating oil had formed mixture of ester, in the meantime,the additive reacts with metal surface to form metal soap during rubbing process.The formation of film include both the polymerize and deposit of SRT additive in the surface and some element reacts with the surface of rubbing pairs.lt is movable that the rate of forming film and the rate of wear.
