The construction processes of large-scale underground structure group are very complicated. In order to quicken the construction processes, reduce price and assure success, it is necessary that adopting scientific system simulation method to simulate the whole construction processes, to make all tunnels, all activities and all machine equipment harmonious and make construction sequence schedule reasonable. In this paper, the research on system simulation theory and application for the construction processes of large-scale underground structure group is developed, which main research contents and achievements are as follows:1. A method of object-oriented graphics-aided simulation modeling is presented, which simplifies complex simulation modeling.2. A theory method of GIS-based dynamic visual simulation for the construction processes of underground structure group is presented, which combines cyclic operation network simulation, system simulation, network plan optimization and GIS-based construction processes' three-dimension visualization. With considering simulation results' visualization and fully using powerful space data and graphics process technique of GIS, it describes the construction processes with dynamic digital three-dimension pictures. It provides a useful analysis tool for grasping the construction processes comprehensively and quickly.3. A method of multiple objective optimization based machine equipment optimization allocation is presented, which realizes machine equipment optimization allocation plan's automatic search and increases simulation efficiency of complex system.4. Relationship between simulation running times and construction time limit estimate precision is discussed, which solves the problem that how many running times are required in order to reach a certain construction time limit estimate precision.5. The project completion probability is discussed, which fully describes the uncertainty of construction sequence schedule and provides basis for analysis of time limit.6. A method of GA-based resource level optimization for construction system simulation is presented. It can avoid obtaining local optimization results, and the optimization results gotten by which are better than by traditional methods.7. According to the presented ideas, by integrating VC++, GIS and MATLAB programs, the author develops software of construction system simulation for construction processes of large-scale underground structure group (ESAS), which provides a powerful analysis tool for construction system analysis research of underground structure group.8. Cooperating closely with construction organization design work of an underground structure group, applying the presented theory methods and developed software, the author carries out systemic research and calculation analysis for the construction of the underground structure group, which provides important construction parameters and reasonable construction organization design plans.
