In order to obtain the changing characteristics of trajectory and judge its accurate position, we always put high frame frequency and dig area CCDs into use in the photoelectric theodolite. Thus, massive and high speed data is produced inevitably. Therefore, video data storage has a great demand of higher speed and more massive capacity. The main task of my research is to exploit super high speed and massive storage system. The realization of high speed digital video realtime sampling and storage associates with BUS technology, direct access to storage media, protocol, software and hardware, etc. In fact, it is the most important and difficult in the research to achieve high speed digital video direct storage by means of bottom hardware technology on the basis of SCSI bus and FAST-40 protocal. Double parallel SCSI and four harddisks Direct Storing Array model is built on the basis of the researching on FAST-40 SCSI protocol, solving the problems in the traditional storage system, such as the PCI choke point, operating system and file system restriction. The introduced RAID0 can improve storing efficiency, and make good use of system resources. Combining FAST-40 SCSI with RAID0 together, and the idea of parallel establish the foundation of reliable 100MB/s storage. The experiment points out that 100MB/s can be achieved by means of SCSI direct storage technology, greatly improving storage speed, and meanwhile that SCSI direct storage technology will bring a bright future to such fields as storage system miniaturization, customization and higher storage speed.
