Plant maintenance is a central and critical aspect of control in business success, and is gaining recognition as a significant factor in sustainable development of the society. The improvement of plant maintenance can enhance business's competitive ability as a whole, and effectively facilitate the harmonious development of production, environment and society.The advanced manufacturing pattern in recent years have tremendously changed the working subjects and environment of plant maintenance while the implementation of sustainable development strategies requires the social value of plant maintenance to be re-recognized. Thus, the traditional plant maintenance pattern is facing challenges from the following five aspects: the optimizing of maintenance resource distribution, the predicting of equipment status, the flexibility of plant maintenance organization, the forming of the workflow of plant maintenance management and the quantization of plant maintenance evaluation. The present dissertation aims to respond to the above challenges with an innovative e-maintenance pattern, to guide the implementing and extending of e-maintenance pattern by constructing its theories and studying enables key techniques so as to improve plant maintenance in manufacturing as a whole.On the basis of new techniques and ideas of plant maintenance, natural connotation of e-maintenance is introduced in the present dissertation. The components of e-maintenance pattern are identified from the view point of common maintenance, the theoretical framework of e-maintenance is constructed and the enable key techniques of e-maintenance are developed from the aspect of organization forms, working modes, management methods and improvement strategies.The alliance organization framework and matrix organization structure of e-maintenance pattern have been designed in the present dissertation. Agent-based modeling method named ABOAM is proposed and the modeling procedure of ABOAM is planned. The present author has established an allied searching in e-maintenance alliance model based on relationship model and multi-agent technique, designed multi-phase maintenance alliance co-operation strategies based on a dynamic contract network, and researched an e-maintenance alliance risk management method based on risk transferring model and risk bottleneck sub-task recognition.Aiming at the on-line working mode of e-maintenance, digitalization on maintenance resources is researched; e-maintenance digital reform of plant facility ispracticed. A frame of equipment structure knowledge and its semantic network hybrid expression based on VRML model, a production rule expression of fault diagnostic knowledge based on reliability extending and an object-oriented expression of repairing cases are designed. Aiming at the difficult diagnostic problems in e-maintenance, the long-distance co-operative diagnostic software based on IP multicast and CSCW technology is developed.Aiming at the optimizing problems of maintenance procedure in e-maintenance, the present author has researched the workflow modeling method of plant maintenance based on expanded Petri network and established the performance emulation method of plant maintenance system based on generalized stochastic Petri network.Aiming at the sustainable improvement of e-maintenance, the present author has proposed a quantitative evaluation method for relative efficiency and a quantitative evaluation method for overall index in plant maintenance.Considering the practical demands of Petrochemical Corporation, the present author has chosen implement e-maintenance pattern on typical equipment (fan set). E-maintenance alliance, including equipment user, research center in university and equipment provider has been constructed. The on-line maintenance mode of fan set has been planned and the corresponding software system has been developed. The workflow model of e-maintenance's key procedure of fan set has been established.
