Power grid fault diagnosis is the prerequisite of the fault resolution. The aim of researching on the ways of grid fault diagnosis is to judge the fault by computer instead of dispatcher and other units, using computer rapid calculation ability, provides the analysis result accurately fast, so that assist dispatcher make rational operation decision after fault occur. Therefore, promoting the accuracy of grid fault diagnosis is very important for grid running.The degree of grid automation is the foundation of power grid fault diagnosis. The information resource of formally fault diagnosis system was established on SCADA system, so domestic and abroad fault diagnosis systems mostly diagnosis grid fault according to the information come from break and protection. Now, computer monitor and automatic technology of electric station is very popular. Especially, after fault information system appeared in recent years, many province center finish the unit whose aim is long distance transfer of whole grid fault data, electric system automatic technology get great progress, those can provide more fault information resource for fault diagnosis system. According to those practical situation. This thesis finishes works as follows:1.Combining the fact of present grid automatic technology and its development ride, this thesis poses layered diagnosis tactics which use information of protection , break and wave record of electric equipment by layer , it can imitate the analysis process of field worker so as to properly utilize the resource at the point of improving Real-time character and flexibility on information uses.According the character of this thesis put forward two means of, one is base substation, another is base control center, and comparing the two means.2. On the basis public data of EMS, mix and utilize many kinds of technology to show that diagnose knowledge in fault diagnose, Adopt face target's technology and topological analytical method of trends, describe topological knowledge which used in fault diagnose; adopt the production knowledge representation describe that diagnoses the rule in fault; according to protection disposition and operation rules; it striving hard to denote perfectly and...
