As the key working procedure in concrete production, mixing quality and productivity are affect seriously by mixing mode. According to the development of concrete mixing equipment and research status of mixing in the world, parameters optimization of mixing mechanism has been become a hot research field. The ordinary optimizing methods of mechanical engineering are not suitable to be used for the complexity of mixing process. Based on the model of mixing process, experimental method is recommended. However, there is no knowledge and corresponding research about these. Parameters optimization of mixing mechanism is studied on the basis of twin-shaft mixer designed by the author and orthogonal experiment.Mixing task, movement of the medium in mixing is analyzed firstly. Based on the model of mixing process, curve equation of mixing process and relationship between mixing time and quality is given. And the goal and methods of parameters optimization of mixing mechanism are put forward.Structure and performance of experimental prototype are designed by the author, experimental materials and its mix are introduced briefly. According to the goal and methods of parameters optimization, the testing indexes and methods are set down.The ranges of main mixing parameters of the twin-shaft mixer are analyzed and tested in the thesis. It is suggested that the arrangement of mixing arms should be circle flowing, phase angle of adjacent mixing arms on single shaft should be 60° , the arrangement of mixing arms on double shaft should be positive and crossed, setting angle of mixing blades should be 35° , length-breadth ratio of mixing trough should be less than 1, and mixing velocity should be 1.5m/s. Through orthogonal experiment and variance analysis of experimental results, integrative optimization of the main parameters of mixing mechanism is studied, and matching relationships of parameters are recommended.At last, the comparison of mixing mechanism, which has been optimized, with the ordinary forced action mixer was made. The effect of parameters optimization is verified.It's not only deeply discussed present technique of the mixing, but also improved and innovated it farther in the paper. The research results are not only applicable to cement concrete, also important for mixing asphalt concrete, stabilization materials of road.
