Because of its own merits such as high power density, sustaining energy supply and small volume, micro energy system will be a substitutable and promising power source and can supply power to many micro or mini apparatuses such as micro aerial vehicles and micro portable electronic apparatus. In this paper, a stainless steel based micro-gas turbine generator including many parts such as micro combustor and microturbine was designed and microscale combustion performance was studied in detail. At last, an integrated micro-gas turbine generator based on microcombustion was developed successfully.As an important performance parameter for designing micro-gas turbine generator, Rim efficiency is a function of many design parameters. In addition, Blade profile is the curve governed by many characteristic parameters and functions, therefore designing micro-gas turbine generator is an optimization procedure. In order to obtain higher design and analysis efficiency, a CAD software system was developed to design micro-gas turbine generator by secondly developing AutoCAD software on the environment of Visual C++6.0 and ObjectARX SDK. The CAD software system consists of thermodynamics design module, aerodynamics design module, blade profile design module and profile drawing module, and can realize the thermodynamics design, aerodynamic design, blade profile design and automatic drawing of micro-gas turbine generator. Designer can efficiently obtain the optimum design and blade profile of micro-gas turbine generator by modifying design parameters and governing ones.Combustion performance investigation of hydrogen gas was performed for three different microcombustors. The relationship of microscale fire shape, wall temperature of microcombustor and excess air ratio was obtained by investigating premixed combustion in the microscale stainless steel tube.
