Generally, using the same firing table is required for several kinds of projectile equipped in the same gun system. At present, general firing table is usually determined by the trajectory consistency criterion of National Military Standard, which, however, has been found not complete and perfect; and need to be improved. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explore some new criterion methods. The discussion is evolved as follows:(1) Introduced the concept of firing precision, composition, and expression and calculation method and analyzed the factors which would affect the accuracy and density of fire. Then, discussed the application of circle probable error in practice and brought up sphere probable error which would be better for analyzing precision of anti-air weapon system. The calculation method of sphere probable error was given.(2) Discussed the problems of trajectory consistency criterion and possible reasons causing the problems. Analyzed the source of present criterion and the assumptions need to be satisfied in application. Proposed the method of data reliability test so as to standardize the test process of trajectory consistency.(3) Considered with the deficiencies of present criterion, introduced an updated trajectory consistence test criterion, which is based on the estimation method of parameter optimization (Robust estimation method, The Maximum Entropy method, Bayes method, Bootstrap method, Bayes Bootstrap method etc.). Discussed some suggestions of choosing an appropriate estimation method, which, in some extent, could improve the reliability of the test.(4) Since the former trajectory consistency criterion tests only one parameter is thought every time and the correlations between parameters are ignored, the paper suggested the comprehensive examination of multi-parameters criterion and the necessary analysis method of data reliability. Considering the multi-groups cases of trajectory consistency test, a new criterion, based on variance analysis, was also brought forward.(5) Considering the essentials of general firing table, Models were set up which were based on the firing effectiveness, using hit probability method, integrative derogation's method and probability circle's sequential testing method to determine the general firing table.
