With the recognition of structural safety and the development of monitoring and inspection technique, Structural health monitoring (SHM) has already become an important research direction in civil engineering strucutures. And wireless sensor network is being developed as a research hotspot of SHM with such the characteristics as miniaturization, integration, low maintenance cost and a small quantity of installation time.In this paper, wireless sensors and their network system are developed for the purpose of SHM on the basis of sensing, information disposal and wireless communicatin technique. The integration of wireless acceleration sensor for structural global monitoring, the integration of wireless strain sensor for structural local monitoring, their corresponding network's topological strucuture, the network's communication protocol, saving energy and the network's experiments are studied systemly, the main contents include:1. For strucutal global monitoring, the electronics components are compared, anlysysed and seleced. On this base, the design modulization method is used for designing and debugging sensing disposal module, micro-processing module, wireless transceiver module and power module, and thus a wireless acceleration sensor node with digital interface is integrated using the above modules. The interface and amendation of wireless accelearation sensor are researched importantly. The designed wireless acceleration sensor has such many characteristics as minitiation, low-energy consumed, low cost, high realiability, and the demacarate experiment shows that it can meet the acceleration measurmental requirements in civil engineering.2. Considering that the volume of traditional acquisition equipment is big and that the lead with high-precision is needed, the project of wireless strain collection and transmisission system applied for loacal monitoring is presented, and the system is integrated. Especially, the amplifying disposal module of wireless strain sensor is taken into account importantly.
