Because of seriously polluted raw water and the improved drinking water quality standards, drinking water quality is the prominent problem that restricts the economy's development and aspects society's sTab.ilization. Therefore, a new concept to water supply industry should be built up, and then water supply service could be improved by advanced science and technology. In other word, the advanced and effective drinking water safeguard technology is needed urgently in water supply industry.In this study, a pilot plant is built up with Tianjin raw water, whose technology considerer is refered to practical projects. From main problems of water treatment technics, the pilot test's goal is to enhance the removal of many organic compounds, stress on optimal running parameters and removal efficiency of combined treatment processes, integrate the drinking water safeguard technology, and then be applied into practical running process. Main contents include the following items: change analysis of Tianjin raw water quality and division of water quality level; evaluation of some treatment units; technic study of combined processes; general analysis (including economy and technology) of combined processes; engineering application of system integration technology.Seasonal dynamic model is introduced to analyze and evaluate Tianjin raw water quality of Luanhe river during 10 years for the first time, and so does for Huanghe river during 4 years. Based on these historical data, some long-term trend function of water quality items is got, by which seasonal fluctuation rate ( S c) and seasonal dynamic trend of water quality items are computed.For the first time, Clustering Analysis is introduced to divide Tianjin raw water into different levels. The results show that Luanhe river raw water could be divided into 3 levels, and Huanghe river raw water into 2 levels. At the same time, characters of each level are analyzed and explained. Based on 28 months pilot test data, some treatment units'(including pre-treatment, enhanced coagulation, enhanced flotation, enhanced filtration, advanced treatment and sequeutial chlorinatio disinfection) efficiency is evaluated to seek optimal running parameters. The results show that pre-treatment technology could reduce coagulation dosing rate, enhance the traditional treatment (Coagulation +DAF+Filtration) effluent quality, accelerate desTab.ilization of organic matter, increase water quality guarantee ratio of traditional treatment. Enhanced traditional treatment (including enhanced coagulation, enhanced flotation, enhanced filtration) could enhance some pollutant's (coming down to many pollutant items: such as organic matter, turbidity, algae and chlorination disinfection former by-products )...
