Supported by the project of "systematic research on the reticulated aluminum alloy structures" and based on the former research fruit, the material properties of home-maded aluminum alloy and the design method of aluminum alloy structure members (including columns, beams and beam-columns) are systemically researched in this paper.The research method can be illustrated with fig.1. i.e., calculation formulas of aluminum alloy structure members are deducted on the base of the classical elastic theory, mass numerical analysis and adequate experimental data. And then grounded on the aforementioned work, reliability analysis is conducted and the partial safety factors for resistances are determined and thus the aluminum alloy structure calculational system can be established.The key idea of this paper is to establish a perfect experimental database of aluminum alloy structure members, which is the important base of the research on aluminum alloy structure and thus large-scale tests have been conducted by the author. The conducted experiments included 42 aluminum alloy material tensile test, 118 members experiments and 106 connect tests. Besides this, the former experimental results are also summed up by the author in this paper, and furthermore a basic domestic experimental database of aluminum alloy structure members is established.Mass numerical analysis are also conducted and a large number of meaningful curves arederived, which include 252 φ - λ|- curves for columns, 960 φ - λ|- curves for beams, 1920 relevant curves of flexural buckling and 576 relevant curves of flexural-torsional buckling for the beam-columns.Based on the classical elastic theory, numerical analysis and experimental data, the calculational formulas for the global buckling of columns, beams, and beam-columns are deducted, reliability analysis is also concluded in this paper.In the end, the author proposed the partial safety factors for resistances and the design value of strength of aluminum alloy, an integrated set of useful formulas for the aluminum alloy structure members are also proposed.
