A New Method: Urban Design Compatible With Self-Organization

Being a complicated system, urban space system is depended on by every part's function as natural.. economical and societal systems. It is even a belt to coordinate them. Self-organization is the inherent rule of urban space development, thus the self-organized ability of urban space becomes the key to improve the inherent functional operation of urban space system.This paper intended to research and analyze the self-organization which is the inherent law of urban space system, and set a new concept of "match and coherence" urban design of spatial development. This paper tried to set up inter law and outer law, plan and space patterns of interaction between urban space and function system, which is on the base of self-organized law of spatial development . Those patterns proposed a new way that urban design would match the self-organization rule of urban space, and the it is a reality to have a "compatible city".
