A new type of pile, cast-in-place tubular pile (simplified as tubular pile) is suitable for soft field. It combines both advantages of pre-stressed tubular pile and buffeting-sunk pile, and has the properties of economical and efficient characteristics, high load-bearing capacity, and good environmental effect. Therefore, the good application prospect and significance are pointed out in such fields as communication project, water conservancy project, marine engineering, and so on. As a new pile style, the behavior of single pile and the consolidation and deformation problems of tubular pile composite foundation is not sufficiently studied. It limits its more application and development.Based on the existing research, the behavior of single pile and the performance of tubular pile composite foundation were extensively studied by experimental and numerical methods. The main work includes:Firstly, the existing research is reviewed on the interaction characteristics of tubular pile and soil under different kinds of conditions. The existing problems are put forward and need to be deeply settled.Secondly, the theory related is introduced including the material constitution model, the theory relevant to computed model and Biot's theory.Thirdly, the change of pile settlement, axis stress in pile, shear stress around pile and initial excess pore pressure, considering interaction between tubular pile and soil, the soil consolidation, were studied under different kinds of conditions. On the basis of analyzing data from several field tests, a case study was performed. The results were compared to those of in-situ tests.Fourthly, a space coupling numerical model was adopted for taking into account the nonlinear geometric properties of the tubular pile-soil system in the study. The pile plastic strain, bending moment, shear force, stress distribution of rebar, laterally displacement of pile, separated state between pile and near soil, under different loading levels were studied through an example. At the same time, some influence factors were analyzed. At last, the results obtained from in-situ horizontal bearing...
