As the law of exhaust emission is more stringent in many countries, lower emission has become the prerequisite for the engine to get into the market. At the same time, concerning the economization, the limit for the oil consuming is more stringent. Therefore, people began to attempt a new kind of combustion that premixed and combined low-temperature to reduce both NOx and PM with increasing the fuel efficiency simultaneously. This type of combustion was called as Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI).Although there are some similarities between the HCCI model with spark-ignition and compressed-ignition engine, they are totally different. HCCI combustion is the process in which homogeneous fuel mixture in a cylinder is compressed to self-ignite and combustion happened in multi-spots simultaneous way without distinct flame. The action of combustion is very fast and the temperature is low and uniform. It is needed to possess mechanism of the HCCI and combine with the actual combustion characteristic to set down the control strategy. The mechanism of HCCI combustion is a combination of chemical kinetic models with its own characteristic. Therefore the laws of combustion and related factors can be found from macroscopic combustion phenomenon, and then a primary qualitative and quantitative analysis can be gotten based on the related principles. Basing on this analysis, We can achieve a particular combustion model with the chemical kinetic calculation and elements tracing, which can...
