The common character emphasizes the regional features consciously and attempting to create new regional style.Expressing the ethos of times means architects pay attention to the originality and quality in the design of contemporary Chinese architecture.The trends of fashionable architecture are influenced by the social fashion including politics, economic, and culture.Thoughts of Architectural essence focus on the varying attitudes of what the architects realize, design and appraise architecture.The author studies the main influences and the courses of development of every trend, and points out some problems in the main trends. Finally, the author tries to give some suggestions on the development of contemporary Chinese architecture.
