After analyzing the cycloconverter-fed adjustable speed drive system for induction machine(IM), in this paper, a novel decouple control strategy is proposed to remove the cross coupling which exists between the M and T components of the stator current for IM,The internal model control(IMC)is applied to IM the stator current control loop so that the sensitivity of current loop performance to IM parameters is reduced, and the dynamic decoupling between the M and T components of the stator current is realized. Also, this paper presents a double IMC structure , and designs a two-degree-of-freedom IMC controller for vector-controlled IM drive system. We put forward the mixed rotor flux model based on the new type voltage model, and the novel method of designing regulator for multi-loop vector-controlled IM drive system. Also, the modeling and simulation for system and control strategies are completed by the graph methods. Results of the simulation show that the designed system has better performance, and proposed novel IM control strategies are valid. And a cycloconverter-fed vector-controlled adjustable speed drive system for IM based on Simadyn-D full-digital controller is designed roughly in this paper.
