The research of structural plane strength parameter is one important contents in engineering geology,its intensity parameter directly relates the slope stable appraisal and the surplus force,then affects the slpe processing measure,which play the most basic decisive role to the project progress,the project security, the project construction cost. In massive project practice and research,the domestic and foreign scholars have already established a series of more complete forecast system about structural plane intensity parameter forecast method,which mainly revolves the theoretical formula method, the testing method and the project analogism. But recent years, because of survey methods and research technique limit,this topic progresses slowly.This article take the GuangBa Highway as a typical example,through the experiment and precise survey to rigid structural plane,Carring on the research of rigid structural plane intensity parameter determination method and cosequent slope protection design,which has the vital significance in the theory and the project practice.The following research results has been obtained in the research work.1. Through the survey and precision measure to the lothological characteristic,structure characteristic,mechanics characteristic and rigid structural plane, Carring on the analysis to the rock mass material ingredient and physics mechanical properties, Summaring the slope destruction pattern and its major effect factor in research area.2. Using the contact punch principle, developed the rigid structural plane precision measuring mechanized instrument-CPI(Contact Punch Instrument),which enhanced the field operation efficiency greatly,and has made the improvement to the curve outline instrument,strengthened its flexibility,caused it to be more convenient.3. Through the vector analysis to the Barton recommendation standard curve and many structural plane fluctuation curve,using expected value concept reflect structural plane fluctuation curve roughness JRC,established empirical formulas about JRC and height,angle of the fluctuation curve, provided the sufficient condition for the Barton theoretical formula law fast forecast structural plane parameter.Through the contrast analysis of the theoretical formula law forecast the achievement and the experimental achievement,the result indicated that the revision theoretical formula can satisfy the project request. 4. Through seeking the limit length of roughness JRC from aeolotropy to isotropism,taking confidence interval as distinction standard,obtained the size effect limit length of different decency degree,different lothological,and inferred functional relation about small shear test achievement and the scene representative intensity parameter,which caused the experiment of small shear test achievement serves well to the project reality.5. Through analysis to the structural plane characteristic and its existence environment,extracting the opening,the plug,the surface character,the ground water,the crustal stress,the project excavates way and so on 9 essential factors,carring on the power grade by the analytic hierarchy process,established structural plane quality graduation system CSPQ,Obtained the structural plane quality which based on the grading rank,and proposed its corresponding intensity parameter,then use massive experimental achievement of literature material confirm its effect,the result indicated that this system forecast effect is fine.6. Based on the summary model of the rock mass structural,using FLAC3D, 3DEC,the Bottom Rubs Instrument to carry on the finite element simulation,the separate simulation and the physical simulation about the slope excavation,and carried on the system analysis and summary to the different intensity parameter,different structural plane shape stress distribution,summaring the stress distributed rule of the structural plane in shearing process. Provided the theory basis for the structural plane shearing failure mechanism research and the slope stability appraisal.7. In the foundation of parameter research,extracting the control structural plane to the slope stability,carring on the contrast appraisal to the typical slope stability, and proposed a optimized processing plan,then using the inclinometer to carry on the monitor analysis about the optimize processing effect,the result indicated that,the slope is in the steady state.
