1 Purpose and importance of the research: Interior design as an independent discipline is not for a very long time. It is generally considered that the profession of interior design turned into a specialized field since the beginning of reform and opening-up in China. by literature. China's interior design education has also experienced a relatively complicated and confusing process. In 1980s, the interior design major derived from the field of architecture and the field of art which are two major subjects in the universities. Because of the macro-control, the interior design major in the field of architecture was restricted. The profession of environmental art design emerged as a unique direction for interior design. We have trained many students whose professional backgrounds are fine arts. Owing to this situation, a large number of interior architects emerged based on the art education. Their design perspectives always start from art's thinking and methods. For lack of deep discussion in interior design's principal part---architecture, they never establish a complete system and theoretical framework.With the development of interior design in greater scope and depth, the first generation of interior architects trained by fine arts was challenged. Because interior design does not only focused on the shape, but also relates to behavior, functional need, and creation of comfortable and safety space. Thus, China's current interior design community has begun a profound reflection. We gradually recognized the connotation and features of the interior design and the need for the establishment of interior architectural theory which is closely associated with architecture and art. However, the interior design covers very extensively. The interior architectural study has remained at a relatively low level by the limitation of education and knowledge background in China. There is still no systematical research, not mentioned of any complete or guiding theory in the study of interior architecture. Consequently, if we can establish the basic framework of interior architectural theory, it will play a positive role in the development of China's interior architecture. This establishment can not only provide more theoretical support for the interior architects but also can benefit the study of China's interior architecture and guide the practice of interior design.2The main research contents: Interior architecture contains a wide range of fields involving the combination of art and technology and the overlapping fields of architecture and art's knowledge. It includes both architecture issues such as space, behavior, construction, materials, ergonomics, environmental control and fine arts issues such as visual psychology, art theory. Interior architecture covers typology, linguistics, behavior, psychology, aesthetics and some related subjects as well. Meanwhile the study of interior architecture integrates some special aspects of interior space including lighting, decoration, furnishings and others. Firstly, this paper summarized the connotation of interior design. Secondly, the contents concerned with interior architecture target at four major aspects: 1. interior space research; 2, interior interface and surface research; 3, architecture technique and material research; 4, light and color research. The paper considers these aspects as the main content of interior architecture's framework which can cover the main issues. As a metaphysical theory, Beauty in form is related to philosophy, aesthetics, psychology. In the architecture, interior design and art history, it is difficult to establish a theoretical system all the time. As these parts need specialized research, they are not within the scope of this paper. To the aspects of beauty in form and interior space for the visual form of aesthetic issues, this paper only make corresponding analysis based on four aspects in the framework.Architecture and interior architecture are very common and indivisible in theory, Therefore, the repetition study in architectural theory affect the independent formation of interior architectural framework, and is also a waste in study. Therefore, the contents of the architecture in this study are from the perspective of interior design. After purify the theory and method of design, we can get access to the field of interior architectural study. Philosophy, art and some related theoretically issue has taken the same way. Interior architecture provides new perspective and interpretation for us. On the establishment in the content and scope of the interior architecture, the paper provides a research entrance and a research method for the deep theoretical study in interior architecture to avoid a too large system.Basic research results, conclusions and new ideas:It is the first time to establish the interior architecture's theoretical system and framework. In this paper, interior architecture's basic system is built on four aspects and adopted a system of the corresponding scope, meaning, methods and conclusions through systematic research which aims at the combination with the characteristics of China's interior design. The corresponding conclusions form in a broad theoretical background and put forward its own theory based on its own characteristics. The construction of principal and theory of Redundancy, paths, scene in the interior space theory; analysis and induction of reason and significance of the architectural culture and new minimalist in the theory of interface and surface, position of technology and culture in the interior space, study of material's cultural significance and inheritance, analysis and summarize from a new perspective in light of the material space, light and color's simultaneous expression, light form-limited interior space and the space-form.Above all, this research paper has features of interior and characteristics of the times, forming new ideas and new theories according to the development of interiorarchitecture. Through systematic research ,deep thinking, theoretical citation and practical verification., this paper have some practical significance and will guide to the actual work.
